The Discipline to Pray

 Exercising is good for me, but is it something I enjoy.  I would have to say yes and no.  I really enjoy the benefits of exercising.  I enjoy the routine of feeling warmed up and testing my body to see what it can or can't do.  I definitely enjoy watching T.V. or listening to podcasts while I'm working out.  So, there are things I have learned to enjoy about it that are part of the routine I have become so familiar with.  The main aspect.

Exercising regularly is a discipline, but I hardly consider it that because there is so much of it that I enjoy.  I hope to be able to say the same of my prayer life.  Some of the things I will enjoy in my prayer life is making a list and keeping track of the things I will be praying for.  It will also be enjoyable to make contact with people as they come to mind and to strengthen relationships that have been neglected.  Another thing I will thoroughly enjoy is seeing the beauty and diversity of the sunrise each morning.  And, above I will benefit from having a more intimate relationship with God.
